Glass in sacred space

The topic of the bachelor thesis is number 12. This number is a stable archetype that plays the role of order, completeness, closed circle and wholeness in the development of civilization. The realization consists of twelve objects made by the technology of fused sculpture. All twelve objects are connected by the shape of a cylinder. The basic geometric shape of this body is a circle, which symbolically refers to the meaning of the number twelve, also its diameter is 12cm for each object. The individual sculptures differ from each other, either by the colour of the glass or its surface treatment. The sculptures have a matt, glossy or iced surface. Others are modified by mechanical breaking, cutting through or left completely raw from the melting process. A universal language in the form of geometry is applied to this group of objects, which can function together in any liturgical space, as well as individually represent the symbols found within them. They become our companion.
